Barry leads the Kentucky offices of WesBanco’s Trust & Investment team, with $5 billion of assets under management serving clients from offices in six states (West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Indiana). He serves on WesBanco’s Trust Review Committee, Estate Planning Committee, and three local leadership boards.

Barry has a diverse 28-year career, which began in 1992 after graduation with his BBA, MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Kentucky. His first professional role started his 10-year career with one of the original Big 6 accounting firms, where he guided the merger & acquisition consulting group in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1996, he co-founded and became a director, principal, general counsel and chief financial officer of a group of healthcare entities, which also provided angel investment for several startup business that continue to operate in today’s ever-changing environment throughout eastern and central Kentucky. Barry has privately practiced law in the areas of estate planning, probate, taxation and corporate law. He also served as chief operating officer and general counsel for an RIA, and a principal of a Louisville based trust company, where he was involved in compliance functions for each entity.

Barry is active with several professional and charitable organizations. He is a member of the American, Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations (including past chair of the taxation section). He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Louisville. He has served as a board trustee and attorney for several ministry-related charities and been the overseer of both the Stewardship and Financial Care Benevolence Committees at his church.
